For my studies I spent last year at Lausanne. Of course I went there to study, but study also means to live the student live. That's the way I lived:
I lived at the awesome student home "Les Cèdres" in Lausanne. Directly
located at the lake of Geneva, what meant that when we went out, we just had to roll down
the hill to get home again.

That's the big Challenge between the two Federal Instituts of Technology of
Switzerland. 200 Students, Assistants and Professors of the two instituts compete against
each other in skiing, snowboarding and telemarking to find out which school has the faster
team. Four days of fun with a lot of partying to bring the people closer together. In 1996
at Zermatt the EPFL won after a long time again. This time from 9th to 12th January 1997
we will find it out at Grindelwald, which team can drink, party AND the ski faster. Check
out the Challenge Page to find out more.
In spring 1996 the crazy students of computer science went to Israel. It was a very
impessing trip even with a little suspense because of the terroism going on at that time.
If you're intested about some more details in French read the nice report of Jean-Sébastien. We
also did some sun bathing and diving in the Red Sea. Nick has a little collection of fancy
pictures.

The fantastic idea of
the AGEPOLY to bring the people of
Europe close together. Aquapub takes place edn of May and lasts several days. There are
normally around 50 and more teams fo 6 people competing in serveral games in the water or
at the border of the lake. There are parties organized each night and who gets more sleep
than 6 hours in those 3 days did something wrong. If you are interested to have a great
weekend at the lake of Geneva sign in for Aquapub 97. Find out more about AQUAPUB . | [The two crazy EPFL teams ...] |
